For Tuesday’s class I researched an engineering related news article that is somewhat recent. I searched for around 30 minutes and non of the articles caught my attention, until I stumbled upon an article titled “Engineering hurdles to clear ahead of tech ‘re-shoring'” (https://fcw.com/articles/2020/08/18/williams-defense-tech-chips-reshoring.aspx). This article caught my attention because it combined my interest in politics and technology. For Thursday’s class, I discussed how “Willingness to Learn” is the most important skill to have. Anton’s reply to my original post has added to my idea by quoting, “I am so self aware of my own ignorance, that I will not only hear what you have to say, but will allow my self to learn and be changed by your words,” which reinforces my statements in the post. In addition, reading other people’s post has helped me realize that all the skills discussed are extremely important and helped me realize how crucial keeping an open mind is.
